Do fat burning supplements ( herbal and natural) really work?

I often see supplements that supposedly rev up the metabolism in the drug stores. I have also heard of products such as apple cider vinegar and also others-ALA in certain dosages, etc., being effective in weight loss. I’d like to know if anyone has direct experience with taking these supplements and what the outcome was.
Polite, sincere, constructive answers only please. (For those of you who are going to recommend diet and exercise, I agree that this is the best way to approch weight loss.) However, I am asking specifically about these supplements because I would like to know only about these supplements and if they work, or not as the case may be.

Yes, they work quite well… but you have to do your homework to avoid going for the hype.
You already know that diet and exercise is required to get the benefits (which is very good), so I won’t cover that, but make sure you look at the ingredients on any of the products first. Chromium will help with metabolism, but be careful if you have any problems with blood sugar, as it can throw blood sugar off (it can be too much support for blood sugar health). L-Carnitine and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) are good for metabolism and burning fat as well when used with exercise, so those are big ones to look for.
Apple Cider Vinegar on the other hand is a good cleanser… it doesn’t directly impact your metabolism or weight loss, but it helps a little indirectly. Alpha Lipoic Acid is a great antioxidant, but it also doesn’t help directly for weight loss (only indirectly).
Those are just a couple examples, so keep an eye out and read over and check the ingredients before you buy any of them… that’ll give the best boost to your diet and exercise regimen you’ve set up. Congratulations on wanting to better yourself and good luck!

You can’t really spot reduce fat. what you can do is exercise these areas to tighten up the muscle which will give you a smaller appearance.
Some good exercises are squats, and walking lunges.
Squats place your feet about shoulder with apart squat down til your upper leg is almost at a 90% bend, try not to bend forward to much keep a nice straight back, using your butt and thigh muscles rise back to the starting position. Repeat about 10 times if this is easy hold a hand weight or large full bottle of water for more resistance,you can also add more reps, For the walking lunges you need some space, start standing tall feet together, start with either leg and take a lunging step forward. Bring your other leg up to meet it. The with the leg you just brought forward take a lunging step forward, bring the other leg forward to meet it. Do as many as you are able to do.
Both of the exercises will make your legs and butt very sore, that means it’s working. Do the exercises every other day, if you are extremely sore do them every 3rd day.
This plan and good nutrition will have you looking better soon.

Very often, people wonder how they can transform their body fat to muscle. Sadly, there is no such thing as changing fat to muscle. Fat and muscle tissues are completely different and separate from each other. It’s very impossible to turn one fat to muscle.

A fat person who sheds weight and acquires a toned body didn’t change fat to muscle. What happened is that his muscles have been stripped of the fat that used to enclose them. The fat has been burnt up or used; it isn’t there anymore. When you work out and build great muscles, they do not replace the fat; they grew much separately. Simultaneously shedding fat and gaining muscle requires you to do plenty of cardio workouts and strength exercises. You can do these either with weights or using your own body weight. When you do strength training, your muscles grow as they try to increase their capacity so as to cope with the increased stresses they are exposed to. With strength training, the rate at which the body uses up fat is also boosted because the body’s metabolism increases with increased muscle mass.

Properly and adequately carried out, cardio exercises are very effective at burning up fat. Cardio is more properly done by High Intensity Interval Training, HIIT. With this method of performing cardio exercises, you can burn calories and shed fat faster and more effectively than just regular steady pace cardio.

Imagine bodybuilding to be a two-step process: shed fat and gain muscles, but quite independently accomplished. Fat cannot be turned to muscle; but you can decrease your body’s fat and increase its muscle mass. Build Muscle Fat
