We all want to be successful, we want to make more money, give money and just plain-rich. It is richness in all aspects of life not just money. Richness in wisdom, love, peace in our lives and having happiness among other virtues.
I have been reading the book the The Greatness guide, powerful secrets for getting world class by Robin Sharma, he is also the author of The monk who sold his Ferrari. In chapter thirty six of the book, the greatness guide he has the above title, success is not sexy.
I loved that section, we associate success with glamor and beauty but the road to success is not glamorous. It is full of ups and downs, failures and trials. The people who get there enjoy the fruits but it sure is not sexy.
Here are some powerful tidbits I picked from the the greatness guide book.
“Most people give up too early.Ttheir fears are bigger than their faith” By Robin Sharma. We ought always to work on our faith, that way when opportunity appears we will have the faith to believe we can do it. And never to give up.
He also mentions that creating an extraordinary existence takes work which include
- Being positive.
- Responsibility
- Treating people well.
- Working hard.
- Getting up early.
- Setting goals.
- Speak your truth.
- Self discipline.
- Saving money.
- Caring for your health
- Valuing your family.
He conclude by saying that getting your best in life is simple. Not easy but simple.
All the best as you live your best life now.
Sandema.
